Week 6: Portrait Photography – Revealed!

Hey guys! Welcome back from your the mid-sem break, hope you are all refreshed and ready to battle upcoming mid-sem exams and whatnot!

We have more fun and helpful activities/tutorials planned for the weeks to come, so do stay tuned for our weekly updates! First up this week:

Quick Updates
– Those who have not yet collected their membership cards, come along to our weekly tutorials times (Thursday 4-6, Friday 4-6) to collect them. Let us know in advance if you’ll be collecting them so we can have it ready!

– Participants of this weekend’s Hands-on Portraiture workshop (1) will receive an email within the next day or two with details.

– Due to popular demand, there will be a 2nd hands-on Portraiture workshop with proffessional models organized for those who missed out signing up for the 1st one. Details of the 2nd Portraiture will be announced THIS coming Sunday, 18th April after 9:30PM. This is a First in First Serve, so get ready to pounce on the opportunity! There will only be 16 spots available. Stay tuned!

– There is ONE SPOT Available for this Saturday 17th April Hands on Portraiture workshop (8am-12PM) with a professional model, if you would like this opportunity reply ASAP! It will be $25 to secure your spot 🙂

Time: 4:00PM – 6:00PM
Location: Old Main Building 150 (Above PHYSICS Theatre – Use stairs next to the Giant Pendulum)
Portrait shots looking a little dull? Not sure how to spice it up? Want to improve the relationship between your camera lens and human subject?
Come along to this week’s tutorial and learn about the tech specs, tips and tricks on how to capture a beautiful portrait. We will also touch on how to use lighting natural/artificial lighting effectively.
*If you are participating in this weekend’s hands-on portraiture workshop, its recommended that you come along to get some tips and tricks for the day!
Hands-On Session! – Which means yes! bring along your cameras and external flash (if you have one), as we guide you through the use of artificial lighting, indoors.
Open to UPA Members. Proof of membership needed for Photosoc, Exposure and PhotoClub
